Clean Cinnamon Spice Donuts

The baked donuts are filled with clean, nutritious ingredients that make indulging all the more enticing. The recipe includes coconut oil for healthy fats, as well as oat and almond flour to keep the treats sweet and gluten free.

Clean Cinnamon Spice Donuts

Ingredients
  

  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free oat flour
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1 scoop Vital Proteins' Vanilla Coconut Collagen Peptides (or 1 tsp of vanilla)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Toppings

  • cinnamon
  • chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F
  • Mix all of the wet ingredients for the donuts in a mixing bowl until smooth
  • Add the dry ingredients for the donuts to the bowl and mix until well combined
  • Pour the mixture evenly into a greased donut pan
  • Bake the donuts for 15 minutes
  • Let the donuts cool for a few minutes on a cooking rack
  • In a small bowl, melt the chocolate chips, continuously stirring
  • Once the donuts are cool, drizzle each with the now melted chocolate
  • After adding the chocolate topping, sprinkle each with extra cinnamon
  • Enjoy!

    These donuts are SO delicious. Who knew something healthy could taste this good?! I love all of the Simple Bites recipes so yummy & fun to mix things up with ingredients that are health conscious but easy to follow. My friends are always impressed when I bring these to the table!
